Summerlin Yoga Offers $11 Classes on 9/11/2013 to Support American Red Cross

Summerlin Yoga, located at 7520 West Washington Ave, Suite 150 in Las Vegas, will offer $11 classes on Wednesday, September 11, 2013.

Stephanie Dixon, executive director of Summerlin Yoga, said proceeds from 9/11 classes will go to the Southern Nevada chapter of the American Red Cross.

In addition, a member of Summerlin Yoga who lost her sister on 9/11/2001 will share her thoughts at the beginning of the 1:30 p.m. Vinyasa class at the yoga studio.

A wide variety of classes are available and beginners are welcome to attend.

The yoga studio is also offering a Tru Hot Pilates class at 3 p.m. on September 11 that is free to the public, although donations will be accepted.

“I was living on the east coast in 2001 and many of us were deeply impacted by the September 11 tragedy,” Dixon said. “I want to do my part to show that we will never forget the many lives lost on 9/11. Yoga is good for the body and spirit. We’re also pleased to support our local chapter of the American Red Cross.”
